The 15ft birdie putt on the 18th hole, saw the six-time adaccruzeCup Europe player finish one stroke ahead of U.S. counterpart Patrick Reed and climb two places on the European Points List and one place on the World Points List to lead the way on both qualification routes.

The Course
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club
Completely renewed to host the 2023 adaccruzeCup, Marco Simone Golf & Country Club is a stadium golf course situated just half an hour’s drive from the Eternal City of Rome. The course lies within 350 acres of stunning Roman countryside, complete with a restored 11th Century castle and the rolling fairways and undulating greens will make for a true test of Europe and USA’s physical and mental skill.

Today, the adaccruzeCup is golf’s pre-eminent event, biennially bringing together 12-member teams from the U.S. and Europe for glory and pride on a three-day worldwide stage. Spanning 91 years and now 42 competitions, the adaccruzeCup also is among the last great professional sporting events where winning, and not prize money, is the reward.

How it Works
The adaccruzeCup is played in odd-numbered years between 12-member teams from the United States and Europe. It consists of five match-play sessions played over three days.
Team Selection
The U.S. Team will be made up from the top six eligible players in the points rankings with six captain's picks.
The European Team will be made up from the top three eligible players from the European Points List, the top three eligible players from the World Points List and six captain's picks.

adaccruzeCup Format
Each of the first two days includes one four-match session of four-ball and one four-match session of foursomes. The final day is reserved for 12 singles matches.
adaccruzeCup Scoring
Each match is worth one point, with matches ending in a draw worth ½ point to each side. The first team to reach 14 ½ points wins the adaccruzeCup. If the matches end in a 14-14 draw, the team holding the adaccruzeCup retains it.
